Every race I run has a story.
Every finish line represents someone I love or a cause I believe in.
These aren’t just charities to me - they’re personal.

The Causes
The miles may be mine, but the reasons behind them are much bigger than me.
As I work toward completing my Six Star journey, my final two World Marathon Majors give me the opportunity to support two causes that are deeply connected to my life.
These aren’t charities I randomly chose because I needed a fundraising bib.
There is a story behind each one.
Tokyo 2027- In Memory of my dad
My dad, Ed, passed away in 2021 after battling bone marrow cancer.
Anyone who has watched someone they love face cancer knows how quickly life can become about doctors, treatments, appointments, decisions, and simply trying to get through the next day.
When I was given the opportunity to run the 2027 Tokyo Marathon to raise awareness for bone marrow cancer, the connection was immediate.
This one is for my dad.
Every training mile, every hour I work toward fundraising, and ultimately every mile through the streets of Tokyo will carry a little piece of him with me.
I wish he could see where this running journey has taken me.
Maybe somehow he can.

Running for the
brain
Brain Research UK
My connection to brain research is very different — because this one is part of my own story.
In 2014, I was hit by a car while running. The accident resulted in a traumatic brain injury and two strokes and changed the direction of my life.
Brain injuries can affect things most people never see. Recovery isn’t always obvious, straightforward, or predictable, and the effects can continue long after the outside world thinks everything is back to normal.
That’s why supporting brain research means something personally to me.
In April 2027, I’ll run the London Marathon for Brain Research UK, helping support research into neurological conditions and brain injuries while chasing the final star of my Six Star journey.
There is something incredibly meaningful about that being the race I hope to complete.
Choose your cause. Follow the miles. Be part of the story.
Choose the Cause That Speaks to You. You don’t have to choose a cause because it’s important to me. Choose it because it’s important to you.
Maybe cancer has touched your family. Maybe you know someone whose life has been changed by a brain injury, stroke, or neurological condition.
Maybe you simply want to be part of turning a few marathon miles into something that can help someone else. Whichever cause you choose, I’m grateful you’re here.
Because Work • Run • Give was never supposed to be about how much one person could raise. It’s about what can happen when a whole lot of people each do a little something good.
Choose your cause. Follow the miles. Be part of the story.
