When people ask me why I run, the answer is simple—because every mile has a purpose. My journey isn’t just about crossing finish lines or earning medals. It’s about honoring the people who have shaped my life and supporting causes that have become deeply personal. Every race I run is connected to a charity whose mission reflects a chapter of my life, turning each finish line into something much more than a medal.

Cancer became deeply personal when my dad was diagnosed with bone marrow cancer. Watching someone you love fight a disease that changes everything leaves a mark on your heart forever. My dad was my calm in every storm, my biggest supporter, and one of the greatest influences in my life. Running the 2027 Tokyo Marathon in his honor is my way of carrying him with me every step of the way. Although he won’t be waiting for me at the finish line, I know he’ll be with me throughout the entire journey.

By supporting this cause, you’re helping fund organizations that provide hope, resources, and support to individuals and families facing bone marrow cancer. Every donation, every shared story, and every mile reminds me that even through loss, we can still create something meaningful. This journey is for my dad, and for every family whose life has been touched by this disease
